Yesterday was the Christmas party at Destruction’s school and as room mom I wanted to come up with a way for the kids to remember how much they love some of the things they already have, rather than only what they might get for Christmas. We did a “My Favorite Thing” Show-n-Tell. If the kids forgot to bring something from home, I had them pick something out in the classroom that they loved to play with or do at school. [...]
We’ve almost all been to one, but last night was Chaos’ first band concert. A new Christmas memory for us. :)
Considering that they’ve only been playing their instruments for 3 months and there have only been 3 practices where everyone is playing together, they did very well. In fact, I only heard a couple of squeaks from somewhere in the back. I look forward to more concerts and seeing the future growth of these budding musicians.

Did we all survive the party? When I started thinking about the men that have been here to keep things under control, as if they had a chance, and the guests we’ve had, and the excerpts they’ve shared, and the stories that have been told, and the really really scary editor that we had here… Well, I was half afraid to come in here this morning. I am very proud of you guys for mostly cleaning up after yourselves. [...]
I am loving all the different guests that have been here this month, and it’s been great to see everywhere commenting and chatting and celebrating the release of all these books. I hope you’ll keep coming back to visit, because I’m going to start having more authors take over the blog in celebration of their releases.
