Miracle is defined as  1. an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause  2.  such an effect or event manifesting or considered as a work of God  3.  a wonder; marvel  4.  a wonderful or surpassing example of some quality: a miracle of modern acoustics.

A miracle is often thought t of as intervention by God or a good Samaritan. Some people want to investigate a miracle and figure out how it happened. Others simply want to accept that it did.

Just a few days ago there was a story in the Dallas News about a young boy, not even a year old, nearly drowning. He should have died according to the known results of the accident, but several things lined up to keep this little guy alive. First, he was found quickly. Second, his uncle is an EMT and was there to do CPR until the ambulance arrived. Third, and this could be the most important, they ended up taking him to a hospital where a doctor on staff decided to try something new.

Now, his family is planning for Halloween. “He was going to be Spider Man for Halloween, but now he’s going to be Super Man,” says Sammy’s father.
