Earlier this year I went on a trip to Indianapolis to do some research for my upcoming story Her Miracle Man. The trip was fun, but was also a major eye opener as we listened to stories told by the people who work at Riley Hospital for Children and Ronald McDonald House of Indianapolis. Some of the stories were heartbreaking. Some were heartwarming. Either way, I have been much more aware of great things happening. I figure if hearing about great stories make me smile they’ll make others smile, too. To that end, this is the first of many Midweek Miracles to come where I’ll share a miraculous story. And where you’ll hopefully share a story of your own.

This first story came to my attention during an Internet radio show, courtesy of the hostess. I had to search it out and see what she’d been talking about, and it touched me as deeply as the stories at Riley’s did.
